Rio

Rio nowhere near JT'S standard as a defender or a leader.

Leader - I agree. Footballer - I'll take Rio.

If we had the ball, Rio. If we didn't have the ball, Terry.

If we had Rio, we'd keep the ball. ;-)

John Terry is like a new-money version of Bobby Moore. Excellent at what he does but, unlike Moore, only idolised by those with no interest in anything other than the end result.

Booby Moore was and is idolized by more than just those interested in the end result.

Idolized by his Teamate's, by the opposition, by fans from any Club, he was one of the most gifted readers of a game of football you could ever wish to watch.

I'll just take Pele's quote on Moore "The greatest player he ever played against"

John Terry will never get the same depth of admiration said about him, as he knocked off his teamates girlfriend, sold his English Captaincy to the highest bidder, possible racist [see Anton/Rio/Cole for the facts]....

That's exactly what I meant. Perhaps I didn't phrase it well!

Hate to be pedantic but John Terry didn't sleep with his teammates girlfriend.

Simply can't imagine as a football fan having an interest in anything other than the end result.

This. It was the ex-girlfriend of an ex-teammate.

This. Absolutely fantastic on the pitch. But still a dirty cheating alledged racist twat

This. John Terry on the pitch is the best I've seen. He was UEFA Club Defender of the Year in 2005, 2008 and 2009.

But he is an arse off the pitch.
