Why is it a shame? Obviously means he's not good enough
One of our longest serving players with over 300 appearances over 9 years.

He could be a bit clumsy at times but he was mostly a stalwart between the posts.

Surely a bit of gratitude his way is deserved.

This. As far as I know we didn't offer him a new contract, because we wanted to reduce the wage bill. So he's done nothing 'wrong' as some would interpret it on here.

Remember the save he made in the HoG match?

Whilst it is interesting that two of our biggest wage earners seem to be struggling to get a club, let's not forget the good times.
And in an age when a lot of players seem to move on every year or two.......

As I posted in the Tombit section, think Dave is sorted - and not with Charlton.

"Former Milton Keynes keeper David Martin was in the directors’ box at The Valley on Saturday and has trained with the Addicks over the summer.

“I think he is generally fixed up with what he wants to do,” said Robinson. “He’s a local boy, so he’s come and trained here because he knows the quality we have got.

“He felt he could improve in a short period of time before he made a decision. He’s been a number one for six-and-a-half years, it’s not like I don’t know what he can do.

“He knows what the next step of his career will be."

Do you mean the same Darren Potter that signed for Rotherham shortly after leaving us on 14/06?

Must be funny for big Dave, first game of the season and no club, genuinely hope he gets sorted soon.
