I suppose that a hefty slice of anything we might get from this clause will end up in the taxman's greedy mitts. :-(

I can't see him going this year, Spurs still look like a team on the rise and he has Champions League, a year of home games at Wembley and an England spot to make his own before a World Cup. After that though who knows Spurs may not qualify for Champions League and Dele may have been the star of the World Cup - I wouldn't be surprised if the first sign of Spurs getting ready to sell him will be them offering to buy out that clause I believe they did that with Gareth Bale, if we hit the Championship again £10 million would be hard to turn down.

Don't expect £10m for a buyout. Southampton only got £600k in the Bale case.

Well I just read an ESPN article saying that it was £3 million and that the reason they negotiated it in the first place was because they were in very bad financial trouble at the time. That was in 2009 as well, so I don't think it's out of the question that we'd get £10 million with transfer fee inflation and not desperately needing the money like Southampton did at the time.

It was £3m + Tommy Forecast (a promising goalkeeper who never made the grade).

Or maybe he wants to distance himself from the Rob Segar/Karl Robinson saga?

Also it IS the Daily Mail, which has been stirring on the family rift front.
