Wouldn't be surprised if Martin ended up joining his mates there now.

'David' Bowditch

Someone on here a few months ago, I can't remember who said he was going to a Championship side beginning with B.

Obviously not.

Yes it was....

Will be interesting to see how Bowds gets on. Will be odd to see him lining up against us, esp for a local rival team.
Interesting to read Edinburgh's comments (below) on his "versalitity" - apart from defence and keeper, he suggests Bowds can play anywhere...and that is what I always thought about him...could any of us say 100% exactly what his main position was ? Often touted as a striker, I never regarded him as such while he was with us.

"He is a versatile attacking player, he can play as a striker, as a midfielder or in the hole and he gives us options."

hes a striker that wont give you 20 goals and hes a midfielder that wont give you exciting attacking flair and wing play but hes a clever player nonetheless and seems to pop in the right place and can keep control of the ball in tight spots.

wont put in a fucking tackle though ... its never a 50/50 with bowds its 0/100 to the opposition.

tbh i think he was the epitome of robboball. can keep hold of the ball and move it around securely but nothing exciting and out of the ordinary. popped up with some good goals from time to time but for me a jack of all trades master of none.

I'd say Dean Bowditch was an attack minded defensive wing back, playing up front.

No idea about his twin brother David

Willing to hold my hands up here but I do maintain it was someone else who told me it was a Chanpionship club he was going to. I wasn't trying to act ITK or anything.
